    Cupido Pinot Grigio -WOW

Ensure you check out stunningly gorgeous Cupido Pinot Grigio which was acclaimed Liam Campbell's WOW - or Wine of the Week - in the Independent's Weekend Magazine [15 August]. Up against tough competition with wines featured up to 20 euros. Cupido was the cheapest on offer at a great price! We HEART Cupido!

    1967 - A Good Year!

Don't we all like to use our birth date in our email or addresses or passwords?? What if you could use this in your very own wine? Our Italian producer Piergiorgio Castellani has done just that with his fabulous wine Grifone 1967 Toscana. His uncle produced the first wine in 1967 and when Piergiorgio was born in 1968, he dedicated the wine to him. I have so much to say about this wine that it wouldn't fit in just one blog! This is my top, top, top recommendation! Made from the Sangiovese grape - your main Chianti grape - but with an elegant twist of new oak, which gives sumptuous vanilla notes - the result is just divine. Piergiorgio calls this his 'Baby Tuscan'. I can't believe we have this in stores at €10.99 - it is a real bargain. So much so I even bought a case for myself!

    Dada for Dad's Day

Nothing like a nice alliteration to use as an 'aide memoire'! Yes Father's Day is nearly upon us and just as a gentle reminder, we are championing Dada as our top tip. Named after the Dadaism movement of the early 20th centrury - I'll let you look that one up on Wikipedia - Dada is that little bit different and upredictable! A massive fruit driven wine with bags of flavour intensity and concentration. At a recent wine fair - this was my favourite of the many hundreds of wines tasted over the 3 day event!! Why not buy a bottle to check it out before Dad on the big day!!

    Pioneer Malbec

A recent addition to the range is our La Celia Pioneer Malbec which we are delighted to announce won a GOLD medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in 2014. This is a serious wine with savoury accented fruit with beautifully deep and concentrated blackberry and black cherry fruit flavours.I recently had the opportunity to visit the La Celia winery and vineyards where the Pioneer grapes are grown and they are just stunning! The grapes were just about to be harvested and were tiny but full of punchy fruit and ripe tannins - easy to understand why the wines are so, so good. My top tip to celebrate World Malbec Day!
